The 3rd annual Lindenhurst St. Patrick’s Parade was held on March 30th. The vibrant celebration brought spirit of Ireland to the heart of Lindenhurst, promising a day filled with culture, joy, and community spirit.
This year’s parade honored Kevin J. McCaffrey, Presiding Officer of the Suffolk County Legislature, as Grand Marshal. Under his guidance, the parade began on Hartford Street by Fireman’s Park, marching westward on Hartford before making a south turn onto Wellwood Avenue. The procession marched through the northern part of the Village, eventually turning east on North Hoffman Avenue and concluded near the LIRR commuter lots.
In a special tribute, the Parade Committee held a moment of silence to honor NYPD Police Officer Jonathan Diller, from Massapequa, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty. This solemn homage will remind us all of the sacrifices made by those who serve and protect our communities.
