The Island Trees baseball team proudly announces the signing of senior Eric Fazio to Mercy College. The slick fielding shortstop was an All League selection in his junior year and was a big part of Island Trees 2008 League Championship squad. As the Bulldog lead-off hitter, Eric is a catalyst to many Island Trees rallies. Last season he had an amazing .515 On Base Percentage and 16 stolen bases.
This season, Eric has been selected team captain for the leadership he provides to Island Trees Baseball both on and off the field. He is off to a great start this year, leading the Bulldogs to a 12-3-1 overall record. As a student, Eric maintains an A average. Coaches and teachers at Island Trees High School recognize Eric for his tireless work ethic and excellent attitude.
