The Levittown Kiwanis Club recently sponsored a Kiwanis Kids fundraising event at Maraschino’s Ice Cream Store on the East Village Green.
With Maraschino’s donating 50 percent of sales to the Kiwanis Kamp program, they were able to raise $532 – enough to send one child to camp.
Levittown Kiwanis is sponsoring another fundraiser event to help send kids to Kiwanis Kamp this August. The fundraiser will be held on Saturday, July 18 from noon to 2 p.m. at Ground Round, located at 2716 Hempstead Tpke. in Levittown. The event is a Wing Eating Contest. Levittown’s own Legislator Dennis Dunne will be the guest referee. It is $20 per person to enter. Call Ann Torcivia at 822-5966 to enter or for more information.
