The Rockets red glare was seen by their opponents Labor Day weekend as the girls started off the 2009/10 season by winning the title in the Oceanside Tournament.
On Saturday the Rockets faced the Baldwin Eagles and won 6-1, then went on to oppose the challenging West Hempstead Panthers and squeezed in a 2-1 victory. On Sunday, the pressure was on against the fast Wantagh Seaford Crusaders but the Rockets turned it up as they got the 6-0 win.
The final game would determine the champion team, and despite their exhaustion the girls battled and beat the very aggressive Staten Island Silver Lake Komets. The parents and fans would like to thank Coach Mike Conigliaro and Coach Brian Voboril for their tireless effort and enthusiasm.
