I just wanted to say a few words about Unique coming to Tri-County. I have lived in Levittown since 1951. My father and brother helped build Levittown and there have been many changes over the years.
I have shopped at the Unique store on Old Country Road in Westbury. This is a very clean store. They have new and used items. I purchased a pair of grasshopper sneakers for $4 brand new. They sell in the stores for $35.
The remark that was made about bringing in the “dregs of society” is out of line. What if they were out of work and could not spend a lot of money on things?
I think this store will be a big help for people in our community to help get some items they could not afford.
