Chinese American Night at Eisenhower Park
Co-hosted by the Chinese Center of LI and the NC Department of Parks and Recreation will be co-hosting its annual Chinese American Night from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. This annual event has always been a cool family summer event for people who enjoy Chinese culture for last 23 years. Performances will include: CCLI Chinese lion dancing, Golden Fortune Acrobats, Hsu-Nami Rock Band, Wushu martial arts, Cao Bao An Chinese Orchestra, Heroes Men’s quartet and CCLI Chinese Folk Dance Company. Pre-show activities will begin at 6 p.m., including hands-on arts and crafts for children, learning Mah Jong and Chinese chess, Chinese musicians on the lawn, Chinese calligraphy, origami and more. Bring your lawn chairs and come to enjoy a delightful evening. Free admission and parking, all are welcome. Held at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre, Parking Fields 6 and 6A. National Night Out
Join neighbors to promote safety in the community and enjoy a fun-filled evening at Target Levittown, 3850 Hempstead Tpke., from 5 to 9 p.m. Appearance by the Levittown Fire Dept., NC Police Dept., NC Sheriffs Dept., Town of Hempstead and Wantagh EMS. Festivities will include: auto show, inflatable castle and slide, dunk tank, face painting, cotton candy, free giveaways, food and music. International Music Nights

Outdoor Movies
Movies will be shown on the giant screen at the Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park (located near parking fields 6 and 6A), East Meadow. Special accommodations are available for disabled patrons, including reserved parking, easily accessible restrooms, and a convenient reserved location on the hill. Assistive hearing devices are available for the hearing impaired. There is no formal seating at Lakeside Theatre, so moviegoers are urged to bring folding chairs. The movies will begin at dusk. Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of East Meadow is seeking vendors for its Faith, Food & Fellowship Festival. The festival will be held outdoors, rain or shine, on Sept. 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Seeking vendors for crafts, toys and children’s items, fashion/clothing, green products, costume jewelry, sports merchandise, and services/demonstrations such as massage therapy and financial services. Price points should be affordable and not high-end. The fee will be $60 for a 10’ x 10’ space and $100 for a 10’ x 20‘ space. Vendors must bring their own tables and/or tents. Cub Scout Round Up
