Runner’s Edge Hosts John McGorry Memorial Mile

John McGorry was one of Long Island’s most renowned runners for a quarter of a century, until his untimely death from advanced lymphoma and subsequent treatment complications two years ago. On Nov. 12 for the many of John’s friends joined together at the Runner’s Edge for a run over to the Farmingdale State University track, ran a mile in John’s memory and then ran back to The Runner’s Edge for breakfast.
