Holy Trinity senior and former Island Trees student Jason Oder has committed to play basketball at Mount Saint Mary College (MSMC) in Newburgh. Not only will Oder play basketball, but he will also be a full-time nursing student.
He has enjoyed a three-year varsity career, helping lead the Holy Trinity Titans to their three best league records in over 20 years. He has scored over 900 career points and recorded over 700 rebounds. He scored a career high of 35 points against St. Francis Prep of Queens and also had a 25-point, 20 rebound game against Southside.
Oder earned MVP honors at the Oceanside Christopher Holiday Classic in December. Along with MSMC, he held offers from over 10 schools such as Molloy, St. John Fisher, SUNY New Paltz, Marymount University, R.I.T., University of Chicago, among others.
