Night of Laughter

10th Annual Night of Laughter benefit fundraiser supporting The Sarah Grace Foundation For Children With Cancer held at the Milleridge Cottage, 585 N. Broadway, Jericho. Tickets are $75 (advance sale only) and include admission, show, sit down dinner, beer, wine, soda, coffee and dessert. Great raffles, huge 50/50. Night in the Tropics

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Jerusalem Avenue will host Night in the Tropics from 7 to 11 p.m. on April 13.  Admission is $30 per person and includes dinner, raffles and entertainment. Music by Davey and the Waverunners, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band. Portion of proceeds go to community outreach. Tickets must be purchased or reserved by April 10. RSVP Fundraiser

The Holy Innocents Knights of Columbus is holding an RSVP fundraiser, proceeds to benefit Seminarians with their expenses in studding to become priest. The event will be at the Council Hall, 3581 Jefferies Road, Levittown on April 14 from 2 to 6 p.m. Cost is $25, includes beer, wine, soda and food. Tickets can be purchased at the council bar. If unable to attend a donation can be left at the bar.

Post Sandy Rebuild Forum

The Wantagh-Seaford Homeowners’ Association will host an upcoming forum offering residents and businesses an opportunity to access all the information possible for rebuilding their homes, businesses and lives after super storm Sandy.  The forum will be held at the Seaford Knights of Columbus – 2183 Jackson Avenue on Monday, April 15. Doors will be open from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Whether you still have issues or just curious as to what is still available, bring your documents, photos, designs and or questions. Levittown Community Council’s general meeting will be held on April 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the large boardroom of the Levittown Memorial Education Center. The Levittown School District budget for 2013-14 will be discussed by a school district representative. All district residents are welcome to attend. Keeping Kids Safe

News stories continually alert us to a child whose trust has been betrayed by a predator. Thankfully, there are things that parents can do to prevent it. Join Anthony Zenkus, LMSW, director of education and mental health services, on Tuesday, May 7 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Island Trees Public Library, to learn to recognize warning signs in adults who may wish to harm children, and some simple steps to help you minimize the opportunity that your child could ever be harmed.

Free Voice Lessons

Ladies, do you love to sing? Twin County Chorus has a place for you. Women of all ages who enjoy singing are invited to join the Twin County Chorus of Sweet Adelines International in the joys of a cappella harmony. For four weeks starting May 9, at 7 p.m., the chorus will offer free voice lessons at an open house at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, at 3434 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown.
