Levittown Runner Takes Second In Run No.1

Congratulations to 19-year-old Levittown athlete Megan McCarthy, who scored second overall in the girls 15-19 age group in the first race of the Jonas Chiropractic Run Nassau Series. co-hosted by Nassau County and the Greater Long Island Running Club. 

 

Run no. 1 was held at the Old Bethpage Restoration Village on Saturday, Feb. 8, and McCarthy covered the 5-Kilometer course in 23 minutes and 25 seconds to earn her award.

 

Several elected officials were on hand to support the event, including: Nassau County Legislators Rose Marie Walker, Michael Venditto, Don McKenzie, and Oyster Bay Town Clerk Jim Altadonna.

 

The remaining three Jonas Chiropractic Run Nassau events are the Nickerson Beach 4-mile run on March 9, the Cedar Creek Park 5-mile run on March 23, and the Eisenhower Park 4-mile run on April 19.
