Bellmore FD Fundraiser
The Ladies Auxiliary to the Bellmore Fire Department is holding a Bingo and Chinese Auction Night on Friday, April 25, at the Bellmore Fire Department Headquarters, 230 Pettit Avenue in Bellmore.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the first Bingo game starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission for adults is $8 and children 10 years and under is $4. Earth Day Cleanup
On April 26, the Levittown Community Council, working in conjunction with the Town of Hempstead, will hold its eigth annual Earth Day Cleanup from 1-4 p.m. Rain date scheduled for April 27. Participants are asked to meet in front of OfficeMax at Hempstead Tpke. and Gardiners Ave. in Levittown. Please bring rakes, shovels and gloves, as it may get dirty. There is no fee to participate and the town will provide trash bags. Bowling For Scholars
On April 26, Island Trees’ Dollars for Scholars committee will be hosting its first annual bowling fundraiser from Noon-3 p.m. at Farmingdale Lanes, located at 999 Conklin St. in Farmingdale. This special family event will help raise money for Island Trees High School seniors deserving of a scholarship. The event costs $20 per person to play, you can enjoy three hours of bowling complete with shoe rental, pizza and soda. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Pancake Breakfast
The Levittown Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary is hosting a pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. inside the Levittown Fire Department headquarters, located at 120 Gardiners Avenue. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, muffins, coffee, tea and juice. Costs $7 per person to attend. For more information contact Nancy at 516-579-2437.

Autism Awareness Day at Citi Field Celebrate Autism Awareness
Day with the New York Mets. On April 27, join other Island Trees families at Citi Field, at 1:10 p.m., to support the cause. A portion of each ticket sold will go to Island Trees SEPTA.

School Budget Discussion
On April 28, the Levittown Community Council will have special guest speaker, Levittown School District Superintendent Dr. James Grossane to discuss the district’s proposed spending plan and its impact on taxes and school programs. Duplicate Bridge Tournament
On April 29, Temple B’nai Torah, located 2900 Jerusalem Ave. and Oakfield Ave. will host its annual Duplicate Bridge Tournament fundraiser from noon-4 p.m. A donation of $13 per person is required to play. The next meeting of the Island Trees Board of Education will be held at 7:30 p.m., on April 30, at the Stephen E. Karopczyc administrative building, located at 74 Farmedge Road.

Island Trees Council of PTAs
On May 1, the Island Trees PTA Council will hold its annual district dinner at H.R. Singletons, located at 150 Hicksville Rd. in Bethpage, from 5-9 p.m. At the dinner, members of the PTA Council will bestow the honorary life award to a member of the Island Trees school community who dedicated their time and talents to benefit and improve the quality of life for the children of Island Trees. Meet the Candidates Night
On May 1, the Levittown School District Board of Education will hold its “Meet the Candidates” night to introduce the incumbents/challengers running for the board this May. The forum will be held at the Levittown Memorial Education Center at 7:30 p.m.

Faith On Tap
The object of “Faith on Tap” is to address concerns of people in their 20s and 30s on issues of faith and morals, which have an impact on the lives of individuals, families, local communities and society at large. 7 to 9 p.m. on the last Monday of the month at the Wantagh Inn, across the street from the Wantagh railroad station.
