On Feb. 10, the girls’ varsity basketball team at Division Avenue High School captured the Conference A3 Title with a 57-29 win over Bethpage. A large crowd was on hand to watch the Lady Dragons win their third straight conference title and their fifth in the past six years.
Seniors Nicole Cody, Alex Sparrow and Erin Morris were all in the starting lineup for the last time together, as Division Avenue honored these three girls on Senior Night.
Leading the way for the Dragons was Jessica Fressle who had 24 points and 21 rebounds. Erin Morris added 9 points and 6 rebounds. This win not only captured the conference title but propelled the Dragons into the Nassau County Playoffs for the tenth year in a row.
